    Lots of freebies here! Download my PowerPoints that are ready for the classroom! All I ask is that you like and comment! What skillset do you need help with? Teachers, this is a must-have resource! It has a searchable database of free slideshows that you can use in your classroom. “SlideShare is the world’s largest community for sharing presentations. With 60 million monthly visitors and 130 million pageviews, it is amongst the most visited 200 websites in the world. Besides presentations, SlideShare also supports documents, PDFs, videos and webinars.
  • Canva.com You may have heard people talking about this incredible site. If you haven’t tried it yet, go check it out. They have an absolutely free plan. You never have to pay unless and until you decide to use some of the paid images; otherwise it remains free. Very easy to design everything from quotes to powerpoints to all sorts of multimedia.

    This site is wonderful for using for preparation and including in your daily agendas for your classroom. Glogster describes itself as “interactive posters loaded with text, graphics, music, videos, and more.

    This is a phenomenal site that teaches students comprehension strategies using content articles that can be used in Science, Social Studies, Math and ELA.  Additionally, it has comprehension questions and extras to help with learning.

  • The Learning Network
    If you haven’t seen this site, you will love it and begin using it immediately!  There are ready-made lessons for use with The New York Times, but it’s not that simple.  Intertwined within the articles are poems, videos and so much more.  You have to go here to experience it to understand.
  • Edpuzzle
    The easiest way to engage your students with videos — pick a video, add your magical touch and track your students’ understanding.  This site is where you integrate questions inside of a video that you download from sites such as Youtube.
  • Quizlet
    Simple tools that let you study anything for free.  I love this site and use it religiously in my classroom.  Teachers can either place their vocabulary into the site or you can have your students make their own.  Then, they practice these vocabulary words through different games.  It keeps kids interested and involved in their learning with immediate feedback — so important to today’s iGeneration (see my blog on reaching and teaching today’s iGeneration).
  • Zunal ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE SITES! Free Webquests to download and use, or upload easy customizable webquests of your own.  If you’re into Ed Tech, this is a great site to use in the classroom.

    This is a complete database of listings for all emergency, legal and law enforcement government offices in the country – with working phone numbers directions (at least for the ones I’ve tried!).
